This presentation will overview and provide updated case studies on modern marketing practices applied to the electrical testing sector. The presenters will start with a broad definition of electrical testing and commissioning activities, which go well beyond NETA ATS and MTS scopes, while leveraging member firm expertise. From that testing activity definition, we’ll lay out the diverse ‘user community’ of client companies and individuals that hire testing services. Marketing methods considered to reach this user community will include legacy tools like print advertising, direct mail, tradeshows, sponsorship and cold calling. New marketing tools also considered will include social media, email campaigns, video, search engine marketing and web advertising. Updated case studies will highlight effective content and campaigns within the electrical sector and beyond. We’ll also refresh the NETA web search top 10 rankings first presented at PowerTest 2022. Attendees will receive a strategic framework to define their targeted ‘user community’ and learn about tools and tactics to consider for enhanced marketing success.
