A four-hour workshop based on the background and current situation we find ourselves in supporting testing and extending the life of low voltage switchgear in the US. Starting with the early and working toward modern available today plastic and insulated case power breakers. We will discuss the changes in needed maintenance and obsolescence of the many designs and types seen in the US heavy commercial, industrial and utility applications. We will discuss advantages and disadvantages of various manufacturers equipment and discuss interchangeability how to support and extend the useful life of many types of low voltage gear we will talk about all types of switchgear and ancillary equipment as we skirt this subject.
