After more than 30 years of steady decline in occupational electrical fatalities in the US, the trend for more than 10 years has been flat. Leading safety organizations including OSHA, NIOSH, American Society of Safety Professionals, and the National Safety Council, and individual experts in safety management have promoted new approaches to further reduce occupational fatalities.  These new approaches have created innovative ways to think about risk factors that could lead to an electrical injury.  This presentation will focus on how expanding our thinking of risk factors may be a key to further reduction in electrical injuries and fatalities.
