There are various NERC Standards that are applicable to generation assets which cover different areas of the plant. These Standards encompass protection basis, rating basis, testing frequency, operational procedures, and testing procedures. At times these Standards can also overlap. This presentation will give an overview of all the relevant NERC Standards, how and where they apply in a generation asset, and why adhering to all of them helps ensure the reliability of the plant. As NETA Accredited Companies, it is important that we understand these Standards, so we are testing with proper intent to ensure we are meeting the requirements our customers need in order to fulfill their NERC reporting.
